Star - Frances Louise Owens Dunn, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Ms. Dunn was born on December 19, 1936 to Edgar and Ruby (Auman) Owens. She was a retired hosiery mill employee.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Johnson and Vickie Davis (Marshall), all of Star; two sons, Leslie Davis of Wilmington and James Davis (Angela) of Ellerbe; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and her poodle, Khloe.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South. Main Street in Star.
The funeral will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Bible Pentecostal Holiness Church, Browns Chapel Road, Robbins with the Rev. Rosa Linda Knight and Rev. Hubert McLeod officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

I don't have enough words to say how much I miss you . You were my other Mom you comforted me with your words a warm place beside you if I just needed to snuggle your chicken stew and of course your scolding me , I am so glad you are at rest I love you and you truly showed me what family is....
