Hazel Wise Lassiter

Hazel Wise Lassiter, age 95, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation in Biscoe.

Mrs. Lassiter was born in Davidson County on July 28, 1922 to Grady and Maggie (Varner) Wise.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Lassiter, after 52 ½ years of marriage; step-parents, Norman and Stella Surratt; one sister; and lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was retired from Candor Hosiery Mill and was a member of First Baptist Church in Star.

She is survived by her son, Steve Lassiter, of the home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 17, at Leach Cemetery, Dameron Street, Star with the Rev. Kay Boone, Rev. Billy Roy, and Rev. Bob Hiatt officiating.
