Seagrove - Arthur Carl "A.C." Needham, Sr., 78, of 3176 US Hwy 220 Alt N, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2011, at Guiding Light Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Internment will follow in the Family Cemetery at the residence with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. He was born in Randolph County to William Alfred & Ollie Mae Maness Needham. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Lilly Odom Needham, and son, Arthur Carl Needham, Jr.. He was a veteran of the US Army and was well known for his handcrafted outdoor furniture and gym sets. Surviving are his daughter, Annette Needham Davis and husband, Eugene, of Seagrove; son, Carl Anthony Needham, of Morehead City; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the residence.
