Alexander Ray Lewis

Charlotte - Alexander Ray Lewis, 88, died Friday, April 29, 2016, at Levine-Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Pleasant View Friends Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jacelyn Jones officiating.

Mr. Lewis was born in Moore County to William Alexander and Effie Jane McKenzie Lewis. He was a veteran of the US Army and a retired clerk with the US Postal Service.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Williams Lewis, of the home; two sons, Terry Lewis (Andrea) of Charlotte, Duane Lewis (Erin) of Charlotte; one daughter, Charlene Lewis, of Charlotte; one brother, Worth Lewis, of Robbins; three granddaughters, Lauren, Madison, and Shelby Lewis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant View Friends Church Cemetery Fund, 13942 NC Hwy 24/27, Eagle Springs, NC 27242.
