Alice Smith Davis

Seagrove- Alice Mae Smith Davis, age 89, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Davis was born in Davidson County on June 6, 1932, to Pinkey and Emma King Smith. She was a sewer for a textile manufacturer. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. Martin Davis; brother, P.B. Smith Jr.; sister, Susie Seamans; son in law, Michael Lambirth and great granddaughter Kaylee Harvel. She is survived by her daughters; Shirley Bowles (Marvin) of Pinebluff; Rhonda Harris (Mark) of Roxboro and Brenda Lambirth of Asheboro; sons, Danny Davis (Debbie) of Seagrove and Douglas Davis of Seagrove; brothers, Arnold Smith of Asheboro, and Archie Smith of Star; sisters, Clara Garner of Asheboro, Peggy Cox of Asheboro, and Mamie Maness of Asheboro. 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends prior to the service at New Hope Baptist Church from 2:00 to 2:45 pm on Saturday, August 14. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 14 at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Davis officiating. (For service mask are not required however if you feel comfortable wearing one that is acceptable). Interment will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Community Home Care & Hospice of Troy- 1024 Albemarle Road # 904 Troy, NC 27371.
