Almeda Thomas Nall

Star - Almeda Thomas Nall, 94, formerly of Star, died Monday, February 6, 2012, at White Oak Manor in Burlington. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Nall officiating. Interment will be in Leach Cemetery. Mrs. Nall was born in Anson County to B. A. and Grace Allen Thomas. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Star and was a co-owner of Nall's Sewing Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, baby brother, Otis, Gary Dunn of High Falls, Rachael Baucom of Charlotte, Joel Thomas of Maryland, Louise Lee of Norwood, Alice Sommers of Charlotte, Don Thomas of Locust, and husband, Charles Scarboro Nall. Surviving are her children, June Carol (Tommy) Satterfield of Graham, Dorothy Ann Tarleton (Don) of Star, Charles S. Nall, Jr. (Atha) of Low Gap; brothers, Jack Thomas of Oak Island, Bayne Thomas of Oakboro; sisters, Maxine Meyers of High Point, Peggy Meggs of Oakboro, Sue Tucker of Oakboro; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM, Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
