Troy - Anita Ann Carter Ramirez, 49, of 816 H R Holt Circle, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. Graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Little River UMC Cemetery with the Rev. Patricia Sykes officiating. She was born in Richmond County to John Robert and Mary Isabella Byrd Carter. She worked in home healthcare. Her father preceded her in death. Surviving are her sons, Chris Hoover of Ellerbe, Brian Hoover of Pekin, Joel Ramirez of Troy; mother: Mary Isabelle Byrd Carter, of Troy; sister, Brenda Thomas, of Candor; six grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
