Annie Alligood Blankenship

Annie Alligood Blankenship, 77, of Asheboro, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 20, at Browns Chapel Christian Church with the Rev. Larry May officiating. Interment will follow in Browns Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Blankenship was born in Beaufort County to Lonnie Gray and Kathleen Hodges Alligood. She was the owner and operator of Annie's Florist in Eagle Springs.

Surviving are her husband, James D. Blankenship: three sons, Chris Sanders, Steve Sanders, Timmy Sanders; two daughters, Pam Duncan (Chris), Kathy Hatcher (Ricky); one step-son, James Blankenship (Salina), four step-daughters, Tonya Miller (Mark), Jamie Barnhardt (Ronnie), Tammy Lester (Ray), Bridget Cheek (Lee); five grandchildren, Samantha Duncan, Christen Sanders, Jacob Sanders, Austin Sanders, Kamden Sanders; nine step-grandchildren, Michael, Chad, Ashley, Laura, Marcus, Melanie, Nicholas, Cole, Eric; six step-great-grandchildren, Melinda, Melody, Bayley, Kinley, Lanie, and Madeline.

The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10:00 -10:45 am.
