Annie Mae Kern, age 93, of Asheboro, passed away on April 29, 2022 at Cross Roads Retirement Community.
Annie Mae was born in Montgomery County on May 7, 1928 to Robert L. and Annie Shuping Caudill Sr. She was the last of 11 children.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Poe Caudill, R.L. Caudill Jr., Woodrow Caudill, Baines Caudill, Mitchell Caudill, Vance Caudill, Tyrell Caudill, S.G. Caudill and Ray Caudill; sister Virginia "Jennie" Owens.
She is survived by her daughters Karen Pedersen (Dan) of Star; Cheryl Lanier of Asheboro; sons Richard Kern (Janet) of Asheboro; Max Kern (Shirley) of Greensboro; and Leonard "Len" Kern Jr. (Zelda) of Star. Fourteen grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 12:30 to 2:45 pm at Ether United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Ether United Methodist Church at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Bernie Raymond officiating. Burial to follow at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Cross Roads Retirement Community and Hospice of Randolph for the wonderful care of Annie Mae.
