Annie Porter Staley

Annie Etta Porter Staley, age 93, of Seagrove, passed away on December 21, 2024, at Randolph Health in the loving arms of her family.

Annie was born on January 19, 1931, in Wilkes County to Joseph and Maudie Brown Porter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Ray Staley; sons David Staley Jr., Benny Staley, and Martin Staley; brothers Oscar Porter, Monroe Porter, Arvil Porter, Vernon Porter and Eugene Porter; sisters Ina Mathis, Belva Boggs and Beulah Hunt.

She is survived by her sons Danny Staley (Linda) of Seagrove; Kenneth Staley of Seagrove; and daughter Ruth Grantham (Sam) of Asheboro. As well as eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 2:00 pm at New Center Christian Church with Rev. Bradley Morrison and Rev. Jimmy Shirlen officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-1:50 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Annie's memory to New Center Christian Church Ladies Fellowship at 6448 New Center Church Road, Seagrove, NC 27341.
