Anthony Mark Hancock

Star - Anthony "Tony" Mark Hancock, age 60, formerly of Seagrove, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Poplar Springs Assisted Living in Star.

Tony was born in Randolph County on August 27, 1957, to Shuford L. and Louise Emily Akers Hancock, who preceded him in death. He was one day shy of his 61st birthday and now he will be celebrating it in Heaven with all his loved ones. He loved to sing, play his guitar, and go to church.

He is survived by one brother, Timothy Hancock of Charlotte; one aunt, Della Hancock Gillis, of Seagrove; and many cousins.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 28, 2018, from 3:00 - 3:45 pm at Asbury Baptist Church. The funeral will begin at 4:00 pm with the Rev. Wayne Bryson and Rev. Jimmy Upton officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Poplar Springs and Barbara Jarrell for the care and dedication they extended to Tony.
