Aulton Edmond Blalock

Robbins - Aulton Edmond "Sarge" Blalock, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Mr. Blalock was born in Flint, Michigan on April 29, 1932, to George Mitchell and Margrette Caroline Reed Blalock. He retired from the US Army with 20 years of service and then retired from Energizer with 25 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Amy Hare Blalock, and seven brothers.

He is survived by one son, Jeff Blalock and wife, Rose, of the home; two sisters, Bernita Warren and Pat Copeland, both of Arkansas; two brothers, Dickey and Wayne Blalock; brother-in-law, Joy Hare and wife, Brenda, of Robbins; and many nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday, October 21, 2018, from 1:00 - 1:45 PM at Bascom Chapel UMC, 501 Bascom Chapel Road, Robbins. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Vic Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
