Star - Bertha Lena Gray Beane, 81, of 210 Kanoy Street, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the Church of the Living God in Biscoe with the Rev. Junior Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Spring Friends Meeting in Ramseur. She was born in Randolph County to Lena Caroline Edwards Gray and George Martin Gray. She was a retired hosiery mill worker. Surviving are her husband, Ernie Beane, of the home; son, John Rush III, of Seagrove; daughters, Linda Davis of Waxhaw, Peggy Rush of Franklinville, Patricia Davis of Waxhaw, Patricia Beane of Asheboro; brother, Thomas Gray, of Liberty, sisters, Elsie Langley of Staley, Nellie Overman of Bear Creek, Mary Maness of Liberty, 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
