Bessie Allen Morgan

Eagle Springs - Bessie Maude Allen Morgan, age 83, of 15368 NC Hwy 24/27, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at her residence.. Funeral will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Robbins Bible Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Brother Earl Newton and Rev. Ben Stowe officiating. Interment will be in Browns Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. Mrs. Morgan was born in Moore County on October 10, 1925, to John Elsie and Mattie Frances Bruce Allen and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her son, Phil Morgan. She is survived by her husband, Ellie A. Morgan, of the home; sons, Rodney Lee Morgan and wife, Margie, of Eagle Springs, Alan Kent Morgan and wife, Phyllis, of Eagle Springs; daughter, Tobbie Emmons and husband, Perry, of Robbins; sisters, Minnie Graham of Asheboro, Pearl Maness of Robbins, Tessie Greene of Biscoe; grandchildren, Chris West, Amanda Seawell, Clark Morgan, Marca Miller, Melissa Brady, Drew Morgan, Jennifer Brown, Bradley Morgan, Randall Emmons, Melody Humble, Jonathan Emmons; eighteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Friday, October 2, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home.
