Biscoe - Betty Williamson Henley, 113 Craven Street, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, surrounded by close family and friends.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of over 52 years, Roy Johnson Henley of the home, daughter, Kimberly Henley Martin (Gregg) of Suffolk VA., son Michael Gary Henley (Rebecca) of Gaithersburg, MD, and son Roy Johnson Henley Jr. (Jay) of Biscoe and two granddaughters Gabrielle and Sydney Martin of Suffolk VA.
Betty was the daughter of the late Ernest and Bonnie Williamson of Star and she was preceded in death by three brothers, C.M. Williamson, Clyde Williamson and Tommy Williamson.
She is survived by five sisters, Vellie Bray of Siler City, Martha Luther of Biscoe, Margie Stewart of Biscoe, Lucille Carter of Troy and Judy Stevens of Star.
Betty was retired from Lynn Dean Fashions in Biscoe. She had a passion for sewing especially quilting. She was considered a master quilter and so enjoyed the quilters group at Biscoe Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 16th at Phillips Funeral Home in Star from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and other times at the home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 17th at the Biscoe Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Dr. Bruce Lax and the Reverend Josh Holder officiating. Interment will be at the Biscoe Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to Community HomeCare and Hospice, 120 North Main Street, Troy, NC 27371.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 17, 2014, at Biscoe Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2014, at Phillips Funeral Home and other times at the home.
