Beulah Smith Rose

Asheboro - Beulah Smith Rose, 97, of 769 Ross Harris Road, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at Randolph Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Interment will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Rose was born in Moore County to Ernest H. and Florence Allen Smith. She was a retired hosiery mill employee and was of the Baptist faith. She was predeceased by her husband, Jesse Thomas (Jake) Rose; son, Frank Thomas Rose; brother, Bernest Smith; sisters, Bertie Marley, Blanche Santos. She was a grandmother to a lot of folks. Surviving are her daughter, Anita Kennedy, of Asheboro; daughter-in-law, Carol Keeling Rose, of Asheboro; sister, Bonnie Shehan, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Becky Kennedy of Asheboro, Jeff Rose and wife, Lisa, of Cheyenne, Wyoming; great-grandchildren, Madeline Martinez and husband, Thomas, Zachary Rose of Cheyenne, WY, Ciara Clark of Cheyenne, WY; great-great-granddaughter, Maelea Martinez. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, October 1, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
