Billie Gray Nichols

Star- Billie Gray Nichols, age 83, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at her home.

Billie was born on March 7, 1938, in Montgomery County to Vestal and Flossie Elizabeth Auman Freeman. She was a retired knitter at Clayson Knitting and a member of Leach Road Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Earl Nichols and sister Leatrice James.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Davis of Star; sister Diane Behrendt of Candor; brother Lacy Freeman (Joann) of Asheboro; granddaughter Tiffany Bennett (Dakota) of Star; and great grandchildren Cheyanne, Caden, Owen and Harper Bennett.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Ether United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Hubert McLeod officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Leach Road Holiness Church- PO Box 415 Star, NC 27356.
