Blanche Burnette Deaton Saunders

Candor - Blanche Burnette Deaton Saunders, age 88, died Monday, September 7, 2020, at FirstHealth Moore Regional in Pinehurst. Mrs. Saunders was born in Richmond County on January 27, 1932 to Martin Pearl and Lula Mae Greene Deaton. She was a homemaker and was a very giving and caring lady. She loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ivey Saunders, infant daughter, and her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Saunders of Troy; son, Douglas Saunders of Troy; sister, Dorothy Wright of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Teresa Renee MacFayden and husband, Scott, Valerie Saunders and boyfriend, Brett; great-grandchildren, Seth Hallyburton, Adam MacFayden, Emily and Hailey Faulkner. Her body will lie in state from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, and from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Thursday, September 10, at Phillips Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, at Biscoe Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Roberson officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.phillipsfh.com.
