Bobby Lee Gillis

Seagrove - Bobby Lee Gillis, age 85, died Thursday, September 17, 2020, at Woodland Hill Center in Asheboro. Mr. Gillis was born in Montgomery County on January 10, 1935 to Barny Alexander and Fannie Batten Gillis. He was a veteran of the US Army, where he served during the Korean War, and was retired from Lancer Inc. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings. He is survived by his sons, David Michael Gillis of Ohio and Tom Lumley of Tennessee; stepdaughters, Clara Mae Davidson of Seagrove, Amy Hunsucker of Robbins, and Anna Chriscoe of Robbins; stepsons, Melvin Chriscoe of Seagrove, Donald Chriscoe of Seagrove, and Gurnery Chriscoe of Seagrove; and granddaughters, Katie Gillis, Mitzie, and Julie; and caregiver, Annie Davis Gillis, of Trinity.
