Bonnie Odessa Mabe, 93, of Star, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 20, at Dover Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick Robinson and Rev. Chris Bouldin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Mabe was born in Montgomery County to George Thomas and Minnie Johnson Greene. She was a member of Dover Baptist Church where she had been a long-time member of the choir and a Sunday school teacher.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mabe was predeceased by her husband, James Kermit Mabe; son, James Walton Spivey; brothers, Bob and Tom Greene; and sisters, Ida Bell McIntyre and Evelyn Allred.
Surviving are her daughter, Sue Levin of Panama City Beach, FL; daughter-in-law, Linda Harris of Pensacola, FL; brothers, Clyde Greene (Mary Lou) of Star, Carl Greene of Asheboro; sisters, Carolyn Davis of Star, Patricia Johnson (Kelly) of Rural Hall; grandchildren, Scott Williams and Shannon Lord (Russell); and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Grant, and Will Lord.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 19, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
