Brian Keith Wiles

Brian Keith Wiles, age 60, of Star, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord after a brave battle with brain cancer on March 16, 2025.

Brian was born on September 27, 1964, to James Douglas Wiles Sr. and Rita Ann Wiles in Asheboro, NC. He was the middle child of three siblings and was raised in Iredell County. He was a graduate of North Iredell High School and then went on to serve his country in the US Army from 1982 until 1988. Brian worked for many years in the furniture industry and then went on to work for Keffer Volkswagen in Huntersville, NC for 14 years, where he was a top car salesman. He worked diligently to provide for his family. He also touched many lives in the car industry and was a mentor to his coworkers as well as a trusted salesman for his clients.

Brian was a deacon at Star First Baptist Church where he faithfully served for many years. He could be found every Wednesday night and every Sunday morning worshiping the Lord with his family and fellow church members. He was a loving husband to Juanita; they celebrated 21 years together this year. He was a loving father who had also been recently promoted to grandpa. The love and joy in his eyes when holding his grandbaby Lakelynn was like no other. Brian loved spending time with his loved ones.

He loved the game of golf. On his days off from work, you could often find him on the golf course. He treasured time playing golf with his brother, son, and nephews. He tried his best to teach his daughters to play but that brought him more laughter than competition. He loved to be competitive in a golf game in the annual Wiles Reunion Golf Tournament. Brian also enjoyed hunting and fishing, it made him especially happy to do so with his children and wife. Brian loved busting a move on the dance floor, singing and going to concerts. He had a love for travel, especially annual family trips to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. From the Bahamas to Destin, FL to Costa Rica, he loved taking his family to explore new places. He was an excellent cook when he found the time for it. Whether it was throwing some steaks on the grill or whipping up some chicken fettuccine alfredo in the kitchen, he loved cooking for his family.

Brian brought an infectious smile to every space he entered. He exuded joy even during his difficult battle with brain cancer. He brightened the day of every nurse, doctor, Starbucks barista, and even strangers on the street with his kindness. He fought with courage and positivity until the very end.

He was preceded in death by his father James Douglas Wiles Sr.

Brian is survived by his wife, Juanita Caddell Wiles of the home; son Cameron Wiles (Barbara) of Mooresville; daughter Maddison Greene (Seth) of Asheboro, and Makala Pack (Mason) of Burlington; granddaughter Lakelynn Greene; mother Rita Ann Wiles of Statesville; brother James D.
