Carleen Sanders Hicks

Biscoe - Carleen Sanders Hicks, age 92, died Thursday, August 20, 2020, at her residence. Mrs. Hicks was born in Montgomery County on May 12, 1928 to William Worth and Carrie Campbell Sanders. She was retired from Pines Hosiery, a member of Macedonia Presbyterian Church, and was a potter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Harrison Hicks and daughter, Sadie Kearns. She is survived by her daughters, Joye Nall of Star, Diane Parsons and husband, Billy Wayne of Candor, Jean Cranford of Biscoe, Robin Campbell of Biscoe, and Harriet English and husband, Steve of Biscoe; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Her body will lie in state from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 21, and from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m., Saturday, August 22, at Phillips Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, at Macedonia Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Fisher officiating.
