Carolyn Brown VanDerveer

Carolyn Brown VanDerveer, age 70, of Biscoe, NC, passed away peacefully at her home in Biscoe, NC on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Carolyn was born on November 26, 1951 in Brunswick County, NC to Luther Calvin Brown and Missouri Nelson Brown.  Carolyn worked for many years with VanDerveer Gas Company and Sandy Ridge Assisted Living.  She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Biscoe.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Harold VanDerveer, Jr. of the home; one daughter: Kim Efird (Patrick) of Biscoe; one son: David VanDerveer (Tammy) of Biscoe; one sister: Mary Greene of Troy; two brothers: Tommy Brown of Asheboro and Calvin Brown of Dade City, FL; grandchildren: Lydia, Maddie, Trey, Pierce Cooper, Leo, Amber; great grandchildren: Kaylee and Harper.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Visitation service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Family Life Center at Southside Baptist Church, 125 Cedar Creek Rd., Biscoe, NC.  A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Biscoe Cemetery, Biscoe, NC with the Rev. Jamie Sink officiating.
