Cecil Elrin King, Jr., age 76, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, Phoenix, AZ.
He was born on October 31, 1943 in Asheboro, NC. Mr. King was a deacon and long time member of Asbury Baptist Church. He was a lifetime resident of Seagrove and Owner Operator of King Trucking. He was a member of the National Historical Truck Society and was very passionate about the trucking profession. He hauled freight coast to coast, loved meeting people, and made many cherished friendships over the years.
Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce Kiser King; daughter, Ann Elizabeth King Callicutt (John); grandsons, Landon Ross Callicutt and Luke Andrew Callicutt; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Tulah Kiser, Joe and Faye Marley; niece, Kathy Loflin (Jeff); and nephew, Stephen Marley (Mandy).
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the family is requesting that you visit our website to make your condolences or you can sign the register book at our funeral home on Tuesday, April 21, from 8:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m.
A private graveside service for family will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Asbury Baptist Church, 218 Asbury Church Road, Seagrove, NC 27341.
