Clarence Ira Auman

Mr. Clarence Ira Auman, 87, formerly of Seagrove, NC, died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 31, at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Auman was born December 21, 1927, the son of the late Pearson Leland and Cletus Freeman Auman. He owned and operated a sawmill for several years and was retired from Klopman Mills, Inc. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Auman was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Kennedy Auman; brothers, Robert, R. H. and Treece; and sisters, Vivian Hinesley, Virginia Phillips, Betty Jean Auman, and Mae Davis. Survivors include his wife, Eva Upton Auman; son, Farrell C. Auman (Janet) of Asheboro; brothers, Boyd Auman (Verlene) of Seagrove, Harvey Auman (Betty) of Seagrove, and Franklin Auman (Pat) of Seagrove; sisters, Blanche Nall of Robbins and Lucy Anne Maness of Carthage; grandchildren, Greg Auman of St. Louis, MO and Scott Auman (Courtney) of Cedar Point, NC; great-grandchildren, Kemper, Kennedy, and Landon. Special thanks go to Joy and the staff at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm, Wednesday, December 31, at Union Grove Baptist Church.
