*****Due to winter weather a memorial service for Clyde McDaniel will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 16, 2014 at West Asheboro Church of God, 197 Lewallen Rd., Asheboro, NC***** SEAGROVE - Clyde William McDaniel, 71, of Upper Rd., Seagrove, died Sunday, February 09, 2014 at his residence after a long battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 12, at West Asheboro Church of God, 197 Lewallen Rd., Asheboro, with the Rev. Matt Gunter officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church Cemetery, 4456 Mt. Zion Church Rd.,Seagrove. Mr. McDaniel was born in Randolph County to Albert Lee and Bertie Owens McDaniel. He was a poultry farmer. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Edith McDaniel. Surviving are his wife, Beulah Hancock McDaniel, of the home Two Daughters: Teresa McDaniel Steele and husband, Frank, of Seagrove Angela McDaniel Corfios and husband, Anthony, of Seagrove Two Brothers: James McDaniel and wife, Anna Lee, of Star Charles McDaniel of Star Four Grandchildren: Ashton Corfios Ava Corfios Aidan Corfios Connor Steele The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 11, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204 or West Asheboro Church of God, 197 Lewallen Rd., Asheboro, NC 27205.
