Clyde Vivian Williamson

Biscoe - Clyde Vivian Williamson, Sr., 83, of Biscoe went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, November 3, 2013 at FirstHealth Hospice in Pinehurst. Clyde, the son of Ernest and Bonnie Williamson, was born on August 17, 1930 in Scotland County. He retired after thirty years of service from Biscoe Foundry, Inc. Clyde is remembered for his homemade bean shooters and canes, buckeyes, and his many stories. He was an avid hunter and hook-baiter. Clyde was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, C. M. and Tommy Williamson. Clyde is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edna Jackson Williamson, of the home. Children, Clyde Jr. (Alma) Williamson of Seagrove, Rita (Dwayne) Church of Millers Creek, and Tony (Ann) Williamson of Biscoe; sisters, Vellie Bray of Siler City, Martha Luther of Biscoe, Margie (Paul) Stewart of Candor, Lucille (Jimmy) Carter of Troy, Betty (Roy) Henley of Biscoe, and Judy (Gerald) Stevens of Star. Clyde has eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday, November 4, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star. The funeral service will be held at Flint Hill Christian Church, Biscoe on Tuesday, November 5, at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Don McCaskill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
