Eagle Springs - Colon Max Cagle, Jr., age 78, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019, at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Mr. Cagle was born in Montgomery County on December 4, 1940, to Colon Max Cagle, Sr. and Anita Davis McKenzie Cagle. He was retired from the maintenance department at Klaussner Furniture.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Cagle, of Asheboro.
He is survived by his wife, Winda Faye Williams Cagle, of the home; daughters, Sherry Brewer and husband, Danny, of Robbins and Leslie Schwartz and husband, Richie, of Asheboro; sons, Max Cagle III and wife, Susan, of Eagle Springs and Bryant Cagle and girlfriend, Kristi, of Pinebluff; grandchildren, Danny Brewer (Keri), Morgan Ester (Robert), David Brewer, Jeffery Maness (Meagan), Jessica Story (David), Justin Saliga, Samantha Cagle ((fiancé, Shawn Brown), Jake Shuping (Kayla); Hannah Williamson (Ethan), and Josh Shuping and great-grandchildren, Kera Shuping, Luke Williamson, and Alyssa Williamson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Phillips Funeral Home.
The funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Eagle Springs with the Rev. Bill Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
