Coy June Spivey

Biscoe - Coy June Spivey, 87, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Autumn Care of Biscoe. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Spivey was born in Montgomery County to Jason and Eula Lee McCaskill Spivey. He was a veteran of the US Army, a former machine operator in furniture manufacturing, and trained bird dogs for 30 years. Surviving are his son, Gary J. Spivey, of Sarasota, Florida; daughter, Joyce S. Wallace and husband, Richard, of Star; granddaughter, Myra W. Hicks; great-grandson, Dalton L. Hicks; great-great-grandson, Tryntin Lee Davis. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM, Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
