D. Wayne Greene

Seagrove - Donald Wayne Greene, age 77, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Greene was born in Montgomery County on July 29, 1940 to Daulton and Pauline Sykes Greene. He was retired from Springs Aileen Plant Inc. He was a lifetime member of Dover Baptist Church

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mahlon Greene.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Mary Nall Greene, of the home; two sons, Darris Greene and wife, Denise, and Donald Greene and wife, Amy, all of Seagrove; two granddaughters, Stephanie Greene and Kendall Purvis and her husband, Brandon; and one great-grandson, Judah Riddick-Reynolds.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 16, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM at Dover Baptist Church, 2527 Dover Church Road, Seagrove with Rev. Chris Bouldin and Rev. Dr. Donald Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
