Franklinton- David Jason Covington, age 37, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021at his residence.
David was born in Montgomery County on March 16, 1984, to Donald Covington and Melanie Maness Covington Dennison. He was employed as an Application Engineer.
David was the kind of father that loved his children freely, always eager to take them outside to play or to jump into the swimming pool with them. He let them help him on projects- like handing him tools while building their jungle gym play set so they could learn how things went together. He took great joy in watching every step of the progress with each of them, soaking in the precious moments each day as he spent time with them. He had an abundance of patience with them even when they strode his tools everywhere- could be a bit exasperating trying to collect them all. David loved and adored his beautiful wife (his life partner). With her organizational skills and his dry sense of humor their life was full and never dull. David was well loved, and he loved his family and close friends.
He is survived by his wife, Alison Covington of the home, daughter, Emmalynn Covington and sons, Lincoln Covington and TJ Covington, parents Donald Covington of Star and Melanie Dennison of Star; brother, Jeff Covington (Stacy) of Robbins and grandmothers, Jane Covington of Biscoe, and Ruth Maness of Star.
