David Charles George

David Charles George, 77 of Biscoe NC, went to be with his heavenly savior on March 6, 2025, at the home of his sister with his family.

David was born in Montgomery County, NC to Willie and Margaret George. David spent most of his life working in textiles, primarily in North Carolina and South Carolina, but some adventures in Tennessee and Louisiana. He learned to be a loom fixer early in life and primarily was a fixer, including head fixer and instructor. David never met a stranger and left friends laughing all the time.

David leaves behind his devoted children, daughter, Cathy George Turner of Lancaster, SC; and son, Charles George (Valerie) of Biscoe, NC; grandchildren Tiffany Hamilton of Jackson, TN, Brittany George of Dillon, SC, Savanna Jackson Oswald (Ben) of Lancaster, SC, David George of Rockingham, NC, Travis Jackson of Lancaster, SC, Caleb Freeman, Anthony Greene, and Natalie George all of Biscoe, NC; great grandchildren, Kimberly, Ryan, Isabella, and Gabiella Hamilton of Jackson, TN, and Cathryn and Emersyn Oswald of Lancaster, SC; his loving and devoted sister, Lucille McLeod, of Biscoe, NC, several nieces, and great nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Johnny George; his sister Faye George Garner; and three wives, Clara Dunlap George, Dorothy “Dot” Sanders George, and Jill George.

David and his family were cared for by Gentiva Hospice in his final days and now by Phillips Funeral Home, of Star, NC. Per David’s request, there will be no public services, and the family will have a private gathering at a later date.
