David Jones Mabe

Biscoe- David Jones “DJ” Mabe, age 75, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Atrium Health Stanly in Albemarle.

Mr. Mabe was born in Montgomery County on June 16, 1946, to Paul and Verlie Hall Mabe.  He was a retired supervisor for Candor Hosiery and Walmart.  He loved fishing and hunting as well as spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Floyd Mabe and Reece Mabe.

He is survived by his wife, Frances James Mabe of the home and daughters, Lynn Mabe (Mike Everette) of Norwood; Lisa Mabe of Biscoe and Laura Mabe (Travis Rowe) of Louisburg.  Sisters, Claris Hartis of Charlotte, and Carlene Idol of Indian Trail. Grandchildren, Matthew,  Kasey, Aubrey, Emery, Tripp, Kenneth.  Great grandchildren, McKenzie, Raelynn, Payson, Noah, Connor, Beckham, Avery, Bennett, and Ryder.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Ether United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sig Black officiating. Interment to follow at Deaton-Britt Cemetery, Biscoe.
