Denise Leigh Nichols Campbell

Star- Denise Leigh Campbell, age 64, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Campbell was born in Randolph County on October 31, 1956, to Hayes and Margaret Lyon Nichols. She was a former employee of McRae Industries. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved reading, writing letters, going to the mountains, and collecting post cards. She loved her grandchildren. Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Campbell, of the home; daughters, Stacy Lynn Epps, Amanda Leigh Williamson, and Kelly Nicole Williamson; sister, Ramona Lynn Andrus (Dale); brothers, Chadwick Hayes Nichols (Melanie) and Jeremy Brent Nichols (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Katie Leigh Williamson, Silas Tanner Epps, Ethan Carter Epps, Elijah Matthew Epps, Ashlyn Victoria Williamson, Dakota Jackson Clark, Coen Hayes Williams, Addison Faith Williams, Harley Lynn Freeman. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Star.
