Dennis Paige Harrelson

Star - Dennis Paige Harrelson, 60, of King Street, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Guiding Light Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Bean and Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery. Dennis was born in Randolph County to Gurney LeRoy Harrelson and Betty Neighbors Harrelson. He was a former deputy with Montgomery County Sheriff's Department and Randolph County Sheriff's Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Leigh Anne Hancock. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Hope C. Harrelson, of the home; sons, Andrew Hancock of Fayetteville, Jeremiah Harrelson of Asheboro, Paul Holsonback of Star; daughters, Ryan Harrelson Davenport of Asheboro, Carrie Haywood of Star, Rebecca Harrelson of Canada; sisters, Judy Neal of Concord, Betty Howell of Gastonia, Debra McNeil of Asheboro, Audrey Bailey of Level Cross, Andrea Reeves of Concord; step-mother, Phyllis Harrelson, of Star. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Friday, July 10, 2015, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star. He is now singing and rejoicing in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Guiding Light Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Bean and Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Interment will be in Biscoe Cemetery.
