TROY - Mrs. Doris Lee Needham VanHoy, 84, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014 at her home in Troy.
A graveside service will be held Monday, July 28, at 2:00 pm at Southside Cemetery in Troy with Elder David Hogan officiating.
Mrs. VanHoy was born November 2, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Houston Needham of Ether. She was educated at Star High School. Mrs. VanHoy was a member of Saints' Delight Primitive Baptist Church in Kernersville. She loved the Lord and her church dearly. Mrs. VanHoy was a homemaker and a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Along with her parents, Mrs. VanHoy was preceded in death by her brothers, Leon and Donald Needham.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene VanHoy, of the home; sons, Ronnie Richardson and wife, Robyn, of Sanford and Lee VanHoy of Troy; sisters, Brenda Whitley of Biscoe and Linda Brooks and husband, John, of Winston-Salem; brothers, W. H. Needham of Efland and Bobby Ray Needham and wife, Vera, of Robbins; grandchildren, Lee Ann Patterson and husband, Chris, of Lillington and Rhonda Jean LeLiever and husband, Andrew, of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Camron and Adam Patterson and Coleman, Bobby, Evan, Jonathan, and George LeLiever.
