Dorothy Hayworth Monroe

Dorothy Hayworth Monroe died peacefully on Tuesday morning, February 7, 2011, in Wilmington, NC. She was a native of Asheboro, but lived her married life in Star for over 50 years. She was active in her community, her church, and especially with her family. Preceded in death was her husband, Duncan Francis Monroe; parents, Gustavus & Beatrice Hayworth, and siblings, Bill Hayworth, Eunice Siler, and Mary Sue Rochelle. Surviving are her children, Franklin Gustavus Monroe and India Monroe Cofer. Her grandchildren are Drew & Beth Monroe, Megan Monroe, and Kendra Monroe. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, February 10 at Star United Methodist Church. Visitation prior to the service will begin at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary.
