Dustin Dwayne Simmons

Bennett - Dustin Dwayne Simmons, age 21, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017.

Dustin was born March 11, 1996 in Randolph County to William Everett "Remus" Simmons and Brenda Kay Lamonds Ashworth. He was employed as a logger.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Lamonds Ashworth (Michael), of Seagrove; father, William "Remus" Simmons (Tina), of Troy; step-brothers, Wyatt Ashworth of Bennett, Dean Graham of Denton, and Tyler Graham of Mt. Gilead; half-sisters, Christina Batten Hunt of Asheboro, Trisha Batten Crowder of Pleasant Garden; maternal grandmother, Teresa Lamonds of Biscoe; maternal grandfather, Carl Lamonds of Troy; step-grandmother, Christine Strider of Troy; step-grandfather, Kester Ashworth of Carthage.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 S. Main Street, Star.

The funeral service will be Thursday, September 28, at 2:00 pm at Callicutt Chapel Wesleyan Church, 1100 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Troy with the Rev. Wayne Austin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
