Earnest Paul Idol

Indian Trail- Earnest Paul Idol, age 70, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Novant Health in Matthews.

Mr. Idol was born in Richmond County on December 17, 1950, to Dennis and Mildred Oaks Idol.  

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Carlene Idol of the home and eight children, thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A graveside will be held Monday October 4, 2021, 2:00 pm  at the Ether United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Danny Vuncannon officiating.   Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Phillips Funeral home.
