Edna Jenkins

Edna Mae Dawkins Jenkins, age 87, of Star, passed away on February 10, 2025, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Edna was born on June 26, 1937, in Montgomery County to Charles and Bessie Sanders Dawkins. Edna enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. She attended Flint Hill Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons Christopher Jenkins and James Jenkins, sister Beatrice Britt and brother Junior Dawkins. 

She is survived by her husband Robert "Bobby" Jenkins of the home; son Bryan Jenkins (Belverly) of Asheboro; grandchildren Maddison Loudermilk (Shad), BJ Jenkins (Diana), Noah Jenkins and Josh Jenkins. As well as great grandchildren Briana and Ryan Jenkins.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 2:00 pm at West End Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Shirlen officiating. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service at Phillips Funeral Home from 12:00-1:00 pm.
