Edward Frederick McCallum, Jr.

Edward Frederick McCallum, Jr., age 73, passed away on December 7, 2023, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Edward was born on December 14, 1949, in Montgomery County to Edward and Minnie Burkhead McCallum, Sr. He proudly served his country as a US Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Parsons.

He is survived by his son, Edward "Eddie" McCallum, III; daughters, Sherri Cagle (Ted) of Star and Alicia Lineberry of Biscoe; sisters, LaRue Blue of Candor, Patricia Livingston of Chapel Hill, and Renee McCallum of Randleman. He also leaves behind his best friend and companion Sandy Dunn, as well as grandchildren, MyKayla, Nicholas, Tyler, Meredith, and Chance.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mike Free officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 pm. Committal will take place at the Candor Cemetery.
