Troy - Effie Elizabeth Watts Terry, 74, of 231 Substation Road, died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Randolph Hospice House. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Long Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Marion Poythress officiating. She was born of Richmond, VA to Harold and Ollie Mae Privette Watts and was a retired textile knitter. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Cook, and son, Sam Chappell. Surviving are her daughters, Carol Sue Blake of Troy, Donna Parker of North Wilkesboro; son, Phillip Chappell, of Star; sisters, Elsie Bowling of Durham, Frances Powers of Dunn, Nancy Dick of Jackson Springs; brothers, Jessie Watts of Siler City, Jerry Watts of Quitman, Texas, Harold Watts of Aberdeen; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
