Elias Robert Freeman

Eagle Springs - Elias Robert "Bob" Freeman , 84, of 3431 Big Oak Church Road, died Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Moses H Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Big Oak Christian Church with Preacher Jason Frank officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Freeman was born in Moore County to Ira Lee and Annie Jane Cagle Freeman. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and was a retired truckdriver. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Burkhart Freeman, of Greensboro; daughters, Linda Baird of Siler City, Susan Berry of Staley, Virginia Isenhour of Climax, Pat Smith of Lexington; sons, Dexter Freeman of Asheboro, Mike Freeman of Apex, Timothy Freeman of Asheboro; sister, Katie Davis of Eagle Springs; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
