Elizabeth Britt

Elizabeth Eloise Britt, age 83, of Biscoe, passed away on February 25, 2025, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital surrounded by family.

Born on April 25, 1941, in Montgomery County to Mozelle Britt, Elizabeth dedicated her life to serving others as a nurse’s aide and cook. Most people knew Lizzie best by being a childcare provider. Lizzie’s hours were always flexible to the parents and their schedule. She began keeping kids as early as 1969 and continued that off and on until about 2010. She loved every one of those kids as her own. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and traveling and she was a member of Main Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister Joyce Spearman (Dwight) of Westminster, SC and brother Alton Goins (Elizabeth) of Brook, IN.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Main Street Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-1:45 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
