Elizabeth Pofahl

Carthage- Elizabeth Pofahl, age 95, passed away on Wednesday August 4, 2021, at Peak Resources Nursing Home in Carthage. Mrs. Pofahl was born in Madison County, Alabama on May 27, 1926, to Lendon and Mary Elizabeth Marsh Tipton. She was a cloth inspector for Klopman Mills and a member of Dover Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merlin A. Pofahl; son, Robert Hussey; brother, Lendon (Buddy) Tipton Jr., and sister, Helen Upchurch. She is survived by her sister; Dina Moore of Highfalls; brothers, Dean Tipton of Sanford and John Tipton of Highfalls. A graveside service will be held on Monday August 9 at 10:00 am at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro with the Rev. Robert Lee Kidd officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Dover Baptist Church-2527 Dover Church Rd. Seagrove, NC 27341.
