Ellen Marie Moreland

Star - Ellen Marie Moreland, of Star and formerly of Springfield, TN, on August 1, 2012, left us to be with our Heavenly Father. Born March 25, 1934, in Hillcrest Heights, Prince George's County, Maryland, to the late Hershel Alley Sheets (1965) and Beatrice Della Thomas (1978). She is also preceded by her husband, Robert Alexander Moreland in 2008; her son, Ralph Alexander Moreland in 2004; sisters, Betty Jane Sheets Wise (1982) and Hilda Lee Sheets Russell (2008); and great-granddaughter, Christain Paige Mabe in 2005. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon J. Moreland Wilson, Terri McManigle; sisters, Barbara Ann Sheets Jones, Linda Gail Sheets Millar, and Leona Marie "Sally" Felton (Leroy) McManigle; grandchildren, Katrina Marie McManigle (Matthew ) Mabe, and Kurtis Steven Barber; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Matthew Mabe and Jenna Marie Mabe. During her lifetime she worked at Safeway, Thomas Stone High School cafeteria, was an information clerk for the Secret Service and a housewife. Mrs. Moreland is going back to Tennessee to lie beside her husband and there will be a Memorial Service at a later date.
