Elmer "Russell" Luther Jr.

Elmer "Russell" Luther Jr., age 64, of Biscoe, passed away on June 7, 2023.

Russell was born on May 2, 1959, in Montgomery County to Elmer and Doris Wray Luther Sr. He was employed at Harriss & Covington Hosiery as a fixer. He loved to hunt and fish and had many, many friends.

He is survived by his son, Tim Kern of Star; sisters, Sylvia Pilot (Danny) of Biscoe; Linda Baumer (Clark) of N. Fort Myers, FL; Denice Dunn of Charlotte and Angie Miller (Mark) of Biscoe.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Phillips Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Biscoe Cemetery at 2:00 pm with Rev. Christian Vestal officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hunters Helping Kids, 214 Ruth Road, Biscoe, NC 27209.
