Star - Enoch Jason "E.J." Freeman, Jr., 92, passed away peacefully Monday, November 14, 2016, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Born October 28, 1924, he was the son of the late Enoch Jason Freeman, Sr. and Lizzie Newton Freeman. He was one of General Patton's dispatchers in World War II.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Myrtle Garner Freeman, brother, Everett P. Freeman, and grandson, Jason Freeman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Dover Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Bouldin officiating. Interment will be in Dover Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard..
He is survived by son, Rev. Dr. Ronald Freeman, of the home; daughter, Linda Freeman Monroe (Gerald) of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Jennifer Freeman Kimrey of Hillsborough, Jonathan Monroe of Charlotte, Jacob Monroe of Raleigh; and one great-grandchild, Moriah Kimrey.
The family will receive friends prior to the services at the church from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM, Saturday, November 19, 2016.
