Faye Carolyn Greene

Asheboro - Faye Carolyn Greene, age 68, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at FirstHealth Moore Regional in Pinehurst with her loved ones present.

Faye was born in Montgomery County on December 25, 1950 to Clayton Greene and Lolene Bowman Greene.  She graduated from East Montgomery High School in 1969 and UNC Pembroke in 1976.  She earned her Master’s Degree in Early Childcare Development from UNCG in 1984.  Faye was an educator her entire life teaching Family and Consumer Science at WMHS, EMHS, NAMS, and AHS.   Most recently, she taught High School Equivalency classes at RCC.

She is survived by her daughter, Trudy Coleman and husband, Brian, of Eagle Springs; son, Trent Williams and wife, Jennifer, of Denton; father, Clayton Greene and wife, Cozette, of Candor; sisters, Brenda Adams of Asheboro and Sandy Powell and husband, Keith, of Denton; brothers, Bobby Greene and wife, Billie, of Burnsville, Jerry Greene and wife, Gwen, of Candor, and Sammy Greene of Granite Falls; six grandchildren, Andrew Gagliardi, Nicholas Coleman, Kane Coleman, Ella Coleman, Trinity Williams, and Wyatt Williams; and 9 nieces and nephews. 

Faye loved life, her friends, adventures, her horse, Dusty, and her family especially her grandchildren.

The family would like to thank everyone for all of the prayers, visits, and phone calls during this difficult time. 

A memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 2, at Oakhurst Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Catoe and Rev. Keith Hudson officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
