Biscoe - Frances Leigh Monroe Kelly left her earthly home on November 26, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Frances was born on December 2, 1927 at the home of her parents in Moore County. She attended Eagle Springs Elementary, West End High School, Montreat College, and Jones Business College.

Frances married Jack Kelly and as a result of their union, produced four children. Frances was a stay at home mother throughout their childhood, after which, she worked as bookkeeper, payroll and other front office duties for Crestwood Furniture in High Point and later, Resorts of Pinehurst in Pinehurst.

While living in High Point, Frances was a member of Brentwood Presbyterian Church. After the death of her father in 1970, Frances moved back home to care for her mother. She transferred her membership back to her home church, Bensalem Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Eagle Springs.

During her many years at Bensalem, Frances served the church and the Lord with faithful love and dedication. For 25 years, she served as church treasurer. She also served as an elder, a deacon, and was very active with the Women of the Church. Frances received the Honorary Lifetime Membership in 1995 and the regional Faithful Saint Recognition in 2013. Frances was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star (Chapter 111). Frances loved to crochet, sharing her afghans with family and friends as well as recipients of Bensalem’s Wrapped in Love ministry.

Frances is predeceased by parents, Allen and Mary (Darr) Monroe; husband, Jack Kelly; son-in-law, Dale Yokeley; and grandson, Eric Kelly.

Survivors are daughters, Brenda (Roger) Halsey of Trinity, Carolyn (Johnny) Kidd of Bennett, and Francie Yokeley of Pfafftown; son, Olen (Gina) Kelly of Biscoe; brothers, James (Betty) Monroe and Paul Monroe; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 29, at Bensalem Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Eagle Springs with burial to follow in the church cemetery with the Reverends Matt Cosner and Eric Joyce officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, at Bensalem Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Suggested memorials in lieu of flowers are to the Bensalem Evangelical Presbyterian Church Cemetery Restoration Fund or Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 157, Eagle Springs, NC 27242.
